Handit
For small and mid-sized government contractors

Your deadline is contractual. The handoff is still a message.

From a sources-sought response through contract closeout, Handit turns the missing inputs behind formal acquisition gates into trackable handoffs: one owner, one visible status, and a clean return.

See a real handoff

Designed for non-CUI internal coordination across capture, proposals, contracts, program delivery, security, talent, and finance.

Fits around your stack

Keep notices, proposal volumes, the IMS, cost records, deliverables, and controlled files in their authorized systems.

Starts where the ask starts

Capture from Teams, Slack, email, the browser, or Handit itself.

Open to requesters

Only the people accepting and owning work need a full Handit seat.

The work between the gates

The acquisition has a formal gate. The last input still arrives informally.

SAM.gov, the compliance matrix, the contract file, the integrated master schedule, and the accounting system can all be current while one decisive answer is still buried in a message.

The costly sentence

“I thought someone else had it.”

On a commercial team, that creates churn. In GovCon, it can put a compliant response, deliverable acceptance, authorized change, or proper invoice at risk.

Where Handit earns its keep

The ask is smaller than a workstream. The consequence is not.

Handit is for the one-person action underneath the formal process—the substantiation, approval, comment disposition, correction, or acceptance evidence that must come back before the next gate.

Market research and proposal

Make the response compliant

  • Validate the vehicle, SIN or domain, NAICS, and set-aside fit
  • Answer RFI questions on staffing lead time, workshare, and contract type
  • Acknowledge amendments and complete the compliance matrix
  • Release CLIN pricing, reps and certs, past performance, or commitment letters

Mobilization and performance

Protect acceptance and schedule

  • Clear key personnel, suitability, GFE, and system access before start
  • Collect monthly status and financial report inputs
  • Close action, decision, risk, and milestone-tracker items
  • Disposition reviewer or COR comments before resubmission

Contracts, finance, and closeout

Protect scope and cash

  • Route potential out-of-scope direction for contracts review
  • Validate subcontractor workshare and limitation calculations
  • Match invoice support to the task order, CLIN, and acceptance
  • Collect final invoice, property, and subcontract-closeout inputs

One loop, visible

The person who owns the deadline can finally see who owns the next move.

Capture the action from the notice, solicitation, task order, COR comment, or invoice exception; establish acceptance; and let the owner drive status. The requester watches from Sent instead of reconstructing the thread.

  1. 1

    Anchor it to the requirement

Bring the source link, exact requested action, responsible owner, and due date together without copying the official record into a new system.

  2. 2

    Get explicit acceptance

The receiver accepts the handoff—or asks for the missing context. Responsibility is explicit before the response, deliverable, or invoice reaches its gate.

  3. 3

    Return the disposition

Accepted, In progress, Needs info, and Done show whether the answer, review, correction, or evidence came back—and who has the next move.

The MRAS response and capability statement stay in the proposal workspace. Handit owns this one answer and its return.

A coordination layer, not another system of record

Keep the governed work where it belongs. Put the handoff in Handit.

Handit does not ask your team to migrate the notice, proposal volume, contract file, IMS, cost record, deliverable, or agency submission. It gives the human action between those systems a clear owner and ending.

Handit owns

The action between systems

  • Who accepted the ask
  • Who must act next
  • What status changed
  • Whether the loop closed

The trust boundary

Start where the data is safe.

Handit is a coordination product—not a repository for classified, export-controlled, CUI, or other contract-sensitive content unless and until your organization has expressly approved that use.

Keep controlled content in place

Store governed documents in the environment your contract and security policies authorize.

Hand off the permitted action

Use the minimum approved context or link needed to tell the owner what must happen next.

Your security, contracts, and customer requirements govern the pilot scope. Handit’s security documentation is available for review.

The buyer moment

Built for the person who owns the deadline—but not every answer.

Handit becomes valuable when growth, operations, or delivery leaders can see the formal plan but still spend their day reconstructing the informal handoffs beneath it.

Capture and proposal managers

Close sources-sought questions, compliance-matrix gaps, volume inputs, pricing approvals, and amendment acknowledgements.

Contracts managers

Resolve reps and certs, teaming and subcontract actions, workshare limits, and potential constructive changes.

Program managers and PMO

Close mobilization dependencies, COR actions, risk and decision items, and deliverable comment dispositions.

Controller and finance

Get task-order, CLIN, timekeeping, acceptance, and closeout support back before invoice submission.

Questions GovCon buyers ask

Narrow by design. Honest about the boundary.

Does Handit replace our capture, proposal, ERP, or program tools?

No. SAM.gov, your capture and proposal workspace, approved contract repository, IMS, ERP, and agency portals remain the systems of record. Handit handles the smaller person-to-person action that must come back before the formal record can move.

Should we put CUI or contract-sensitive documents in Handit?

Not by default. Start with non-CUI coordination that your contract and security policies permit. Keep controlled files in approved systems and use only the minimum context or link your policies allow. Your security and contracts teams should approve the pilot boundary.

Is Handit an audit or compliance system?

No. Handit provides useful ownership, source, timestamp, and status context for a handoff, but it does not replace the contract file, required approvals, inspection and acceptance, QASP surveillance, invoice support, CPARS, or other compliance evidence in authorized systems.

Does every requester need a full seat?

No. Verified Slack and Microsoft Teams colleagues can originate asks and receive important status changes there without a full app seat. Full seats stay focused on people who accept, own, and reroute work.

Where should a pilot start?

Pick one non-CUI workflow with a visible gate and repeated chasing: a sources-sought response, proposal compliance matrix, monthly deliverable comment cycle, or proper-invoice package. Start with one team and the asks that routinely cross functions.

Bring the acquisition gate your team keeps protecting with follow-up.

We’ll map the RFI inputs, compliance actions, COR comments, acceptance evidence, or invoice support underneath it—and show you a focused Handit pilot around your existing systems and security boundary.
