Every ask gets an owner.
Unpredictable asks deserve a place. Handit gives each one a home: one owner, one status, a clean close.
In private pilot — book a quick demo and we'll get your team set up.
Drop an ask in seconds
Type the way you'd say it — Handit lifts the owner and due date into chips, then lands the ask where someone can accept or claim it.
Assigned asks wait for acceptance. Open asks wait for a claim.
The ask has no home today
"Please do this thing" gets scattered across Slack, email, Teams, and texts — where it scrolls away and gets forgotten, leaving people chasing each other with "any update on that?". Handit gives that one message a home: a single wall, one owner, one status.
- Ask Jenny for SharePoint access.
- Get Finance to approve the renewal.
- Have Josh review the proposal before it goes out.
- Ask HR to email the new intern.
- Get Miranda's vendor quote.
- Find who owns the client deck.
- Ask Legal if this clause is okay.
- Get someone to approve the invoice.
Don't know who owns it? Put it up for grabs.
Drop an ask to the whole team instead of one person — it sits up for grabs until someone claims it, and then it's theirs. No @channel blast, none of the 'someone will get to it' that no one does.
Wrong person? Hand it on, not back.
Sometimes an ask lands on someone who can't help. They reroute it to the teammate who can — one tap, a full handover. The new owner gets a fresh accept, the requester sees exactly who has it now, and nobody retypes anything. One ask, one owner, never a chain.
Every ask is a small, bounded packet
Source, requester, a clear status track from sent to done, and a short clarify log — capped at ten, never a chat. The packet pushes toward resolving the ask, not discussing it.
Turn the Slack message into an owned ask.
Open More actions on any Slack message and choose “Send to Handit.” The message pre-fills a Slack modal; pick the owner and optional due date, and it lands on their Handit wall with a link back to the source. Or type /handit @name when you already know what needs doing.

Message #proposals
Hand off a Teams message without leaving Teams.
Open More actions on a Teams message and choose “Send to Handit.” The request is already filled in; choose the owner, adjust the ask, and add an optional due date. The owner gets an actionable Handit card in Teams, while the ask stays connected to its source.

Forward an email. It becomes an ask.
Forward (or reply-forward) any email to Handit and start the first line with a teammate and a due date — “@dana by Friday”. It lands on their wall as a tracked ask, carrying the original sender, subject, and the opening of the message, so they can pick it up cold. The full thread stays in your inbox; Handit keeps just enough to orient the owner.

Hi Ahmed, can someone confirm the renewal terms before Friday?
@dana by Friday confirm these renewal terms
Hand off the page you're on.
A side panel opens from the toolbar or a right-click. The page comes with it — its title and link, and any text you highlighted before the right-click — so the ask arrives with the page attached, not a pasted URL. Same wall, same owner, same accept. You stay signed in through Handit in the browser.
Everything asked of you, in one place
Asks land on your wall with a clear accept-or-decline handshake. Everything you own sits in one queue — status and due date in view — so you see what's on you instantly and move it to done in a tap. Nothing scrolls away.
See every handoff through to done.
Your Sent view shows every ask you handed off and its live state — not seen yet, accepted, in progress, or done. Handit signals the changes that matter, so the requester stays informed without a remind button or another “any update?” message.
Turn messy internal requests into clear, owned follow-ups, without opening another project board.
Handit captures the ask, finds the owner, tracks the status, and keeps the requester informed until the loop closes.
How Handit closes the loopThe whole product is restraint
Many teams don't need a complicated project dashboard. They need an owner, a due date, a status, and a clean way to close the loop. That's what Handit does.
Deliberately not
- Projects, boards, and sprints
- Threads and group chat
- Custom fields and labels
- Subtasks and assignee-of-assignee
- Nudges and "any update?" pings
Just
- One ask, one owner
- One optional due date
- One clear status
- A short clarify log — capped, not a chat
- A clean close, then archived
Hand it off.
Give every request one owner, one status, and a clean close — without turning it into a project.
